There’s something instantly calming when you step into The Atreeum Greenhouse Venue in Wichita, KS. The light pours in through the roll-up windows and roof, plants stretch skyward in every corner, and a sense of quiet luxury sets the tone for an elevated wedding experience. It’s modern, yet full of life: a perfect mix of clean design and natural beauty.

For couples who want their big day to feel elegant and timeless with meaningful, personal touches, a Wedding at The Atreeum offers the ideal backdrop. And as a local husband-and-wife photo booth team, we’ve been lucky enough to be part of several incredible celebrations here -- each one uniquely beautiful.

Why We Love The Atreeum

From a vendor perspective, The Atreeum is one of those venues that just gets it right.

  • Easy Setup, Stress-Free Timing: Gary, Margo, and Meryl (the family who owns and runs the venue) are fantastic to work with and always flexible with early setup times. It’s a breeze to unload, and the space is super accessible -- just north of Hwy 254.

  • Versatile Layout with Great Flow: We've set up booths near the bar, along the roll-up windows, and even utilizing the venue’s decorative sofa -- thanks to plenty of outlets, we can power up our booths almost anywhere in this space.

  • Friendly Coordination: Meryl coordinates weddings in-house and is truly one of the best. She keeps things running smoothly and makes our job easy.

And, honestly? It’s a fun place to work. (Ask Chris about the time a guest decided to use the roll-up windows as their personal doorway all night, or when a bridesmaid and groomsman did a full outfit swap mid-reception.)

Photo Booth Experiences That Shine at The Atreeum

The Atreeum’s lush greenhouse aesthetic pairs beautifully with both modern digital booths and elevated print experiences. Here are a few of our favorite setups:

Digital Selfie GIF Booth

Perfect for capturing fun, spontaneous moments—especially with the natural greenery as a live backdrop. Couples like Skylar and Landon loved skipping a traditional backdrop and letting the tropical setting do the work.

Hollywood Print Booth

The natural wood reception tables and soft lighting in the venue really make this print booth pop. Emily and Zed chose our Hollywood Booth for their May 4th wedding (yes, Star Wars details included) and guests were raving about the whole experience.

“Neon Flamingo created the most beautiful unique experience for our guests! Everyone raved about the Photo Booth and audio books. They understood our vibe right away, and absolutely knocked it out of the park from start to finish. Absolutely stellar experience!” – Emily

Popular Add-Ons That Just Work Here

Because the space is already so beautifully styled, couples tend to focus on personalization and guest interaction. These are always a hit:

  • Recalling Memories Audio Guestbook: This add-on gets tons of love at The Atreeum. We’ve delivered more unique phone colors to this venue than anywhere else -- every couple puts their own spin on it.

  • Scrapbook Station: Ideal for creating a keepsake full of guest signatures and photo strips. Emily and Zed paired it with our floral Maui backdrop from Wichita Flower Walls.

  • Custom Templates & Print Sizes: Ryan and Savannah opted for a 3”x4” print on retro-style photo paper, paired with a custom template that looked like a Polaroid. Guests hung their photos using clothespins on a custom frame -- a charming take on the guestbook tradition.

Styling Tips from Real Weddings

  • Backdrop or No Backdrop? The tropical greenhouse setting often is the backdrop. Many couples skip extras entirely or choose clean, minimal designs like greenery walls or soft-tone flower walls.

  • Design Motifs that Shine: Neutral tones, botanical illustrations, and soft calligraphy tend to match the space beautifully.

  • Incorporate the Decor: Movable decor pieces like the decorative white sofa, a variety of potted plants, or the venue’s “Love Grows Here” message wall (which can be personalized!) are perfect for creating photo-worthy moments that feel like part of the overall design.

Pro Tips: Making the Most of Your Photo Booth at The Atreeum

Over the years, we’ve seen what works (and what doesn’t) when it comes to photo booth setups at The Atreeum. Here are a few insider tips to help you get the most out of your experience:

1. Let the Venue Be Your Backdrop

The Atreeum’s greenhouse-style interior is naturally stunning. If you’re using a digital booth, you might not need a traditional backdrop at all—especially during golden hour when the space glows. If you do want a backdrop, consider something soft and complementary, like a greenery wall or neutral florals.

2. Use the Sofa (and Other Decor!)

Setting the booth near decor like the white sofa, greenery walls, or the “Let Love Grow” display creates an inviting, organic lounge vibe. It draws guests in naturally and adds a layer of personality to every photo.

3. Add Signage or an Invite

With The Atreeum’s open layout, guests may not immediately spot the booth -- especially during cocktail hour. A small sign near the bar or a mention in your program or from the DJ can help encourage participation when the booth opens.

4. Encourage Guestbook Participation

If you’re using a Recalling Memories audio guestbook add-on, designate a couple of outgoing friends to be “guestbook ambassadors.” A little encouragement goes a long way towards gathering lots of messages, stories, and words of advice you’ll treasure forever.

5. Schedule It into the Flow

We recommend opening the booth during cocktail hour or immediately after dinner. This keeps it from competing with dancing but still catches guests when the energy is high and the drinks are flowing.

Planning Your Wedding at The Atreeum?

You already have the venue that makes people say “wow” the moment they walk in. Now let’s create a photo booth experience that feels just as intentional.
